Residents’ Paintings Shown at Juried Art Exhibitions

Lumberton Campus residents Chuck Clauser and Elizabeth Larose have paintings on display at the Burlington County Parks 47th Annual Juried Art Show, and Medford Campus resident Dorothy Cebula and Lumberton Campus resident Anne Reid have paintings in the New Jersey Senior Citizens Art Show.

The Burlington County Parks Juried Art Show received over 300 submissions, but space limited the show to 100 works.

Chuck Clauser’s Hydrangea and Elizabeth Larose’s Jungala were accepted.

The Burlington County Parks 47th Annual Juried Art Show is taking place in the Smithville Mansion and Annex Gallery, 803 Smithville Road, Mt Holly, and runs until November 4. Gallery hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM & Sunday: 12 AM – 4 PM.

Every year the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and Mercer County Division of Culture and Heritage sponsor a state-wide art show featuring state seniors over the age of 60. The artwork featured is selected through the first-place winners of county shows.

This year Anne Reid was selected from the category of watercolors by professional artists and Dorothy Cebula from the category of watercolors by non-professionals. The New Jersey Senior Citizen Art Show will be on view at Meadow Lakes Senior Living in East Windsor through October 27.
