2021 Photo Contest Winners

Once again, the dedicated photographers of Great Swamp NWR have inundated us with outstanding nature pictures. Thank you to the 55 photographers who entered 257 photos in this year’s contest. There were six categories plus a special youth category for those 16 and under. They were all so good it was hard to decide, but here are the winners, the best of the best.

The Friends make good use of the many photos on our website, to illustrate our Swamp Scene newsletter, for programs and outreach. In the Visitor Center Discovery Den, we play the slide show of entries all year long, amazing our visitors with the incredible variety of wildlife and beauty of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. This digital library is truly a treasure that cannot be duplicated – thanks to the generosity of all of you. Thank you.
